Citation Rules

Correctly referencing the use of data from the German Family Panel (pairfam) is important for the research community and for demonstrating the scientific value of such a large-scale study. Therefore, we kindly request you to follow these citation rules in your publications.

 

  • Refer to the study and the data version (currently release 12.0) by including the following (or a similar) phrase in your text:

Analyses are based on data from the first twelve waves of the German Family Panel (pairfam), release 12.0 (Brüderl et al. 2021). A detailed description of the study can be found in Huinink et al. (2011).
